Details about Pledging
Question: What are the different ways to pay my pledge?
Answer: You can pay your pledge by putting checks in the collection plate on Sunday. Pledge envelopes are available, and you can request those when you fill out your pledge card. You may also mail checks to the church to the attention of Laura Cline. If you’d like to pay electronically, go on our website, click “Give,” and then “eGive” in the drop-down menu. If you need any help with e-giving, Laura Cline, our parish accountant, will help you set it up.
Question: Can I give stocks or other financial instruments?
Answer: Yes, this may be a way to avoid capital gains. Check with your tax advisor.
Question: Are my donations tax deductible?
Answer: Yes, they are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. You will receive a statement in the first quarter of the year that details all the donations you made to the church in the previous year.
Question: What if I am unable to fulfill my pledge or wish to give more?
Answer: A pledge is your faithful response to God; it is not a binding contract. If circumstances change in your life, you may adjust it up or down during the year simply by contacting Laura. No questions asked.
If you have any other questions about your individual pledge, please contact Laura directly.
