Holy Week for families

Children are especially welcome at all of our services. We will have Children’s church during the 10:15 service on Palm Sunday and the nursery will be open as usual. Easter Sunday there will not be Children’s church, but the nursery will be available as usual.

We will not have any specific programing for young children during Maundy Thursday, Good Friday or the Easter Vigil services and the nursery will NOT be open during those times.

Crayon bags and coloring pages will be available at the back of the church and the side chapel entrance. The reception room and Parish hall are both available should little ones need to stretch their legs or change the scenery for a brief moment.

On Easter Sunday

Please have your children place a flower in the cross at the church doors before you head into the church. You are welcome to bring a flower from your garden or select one that we’ve provided.

Children are encouraged to bring a basket or a bag to collect Easter Eggs in at the end of each service. We will have a few if you forgot.

The Easter Egg hunt after the 8:00am service will be held in the Courtyard.

The Easter Egg hunt will be held in 3 different areas after the 10:15 service. Maps are available at the back of the church or one of our ushers should be able to direct you.

  • Children in grades 3-5 will look for eggs in the front yard of the Rectory
  • Children in grades Kindergarden-2 will look for eggs in the side yard by the little free book library located on Beckham Street
  • Babies and children through PreK will look for eggs in the front courtyard.

I wish you all a meaningful Holy Week and joyous Easter!
