That means it’s the kickoff of the ministry year, and there’s something for everyone!

Melissa has moved to Baton Rouge since this photo was taken, but Café has an awesome group of volunteers that makes for a wonderful time of food and fellowship!

Sunday School returns for ages pre-K through 5th grade. (and nursery for the little-er ones, as always) Drop your kids off at 10:00 AM, at the top of the staircase next to the parish hall.

— Café! A hearty breakfast in the parish hall prepared by our talented team of volunteers. Available from 8:30 – 10:00 AM

— Adult Education this month will focus on caring for creation, inspired especially by Pope Francis’ recent encyclical and the work of Saint James’ Green Team. This Sunday, we will focus on the lectionary and the spirituality of creation.

— We will continue our celebration of Saint James’ bicentennial by worshipping from the 1789 prayer book (the first Episcopal Prayer Book and the one used at the time of our founding) for both services. So don’t be surprised if the service sounds a little strange!

— We are raising awareness of all the ministries we have at Saint James’. Posters will be hung in the parish hall for you to check out and even sign up for those that you are interested in. There are many ways to get involved and we hope that you will be able to find a ministry that fits you!
