Mission Statement

Supper Clubs are small groups, which share a covered-dish
meal together once a month.  These groups are arranged by
the Supper Club Committee from a list of members who have
signed up to participate in the program.  Each group has a total
of eight persons, ideally a mix of couples and singles.  The
participants take turns acting as hosts in their homes until the
cycle is completed.  Some hosts may prefer to arrange for the
group to have a "Dutch Treat" meal at a restaurant.  Two or
more singles or couples may wish to host a meal together.

Each group makes meeting arrangements, which suits that
particular group.  Some groups may prefer to make a firm
repeating date, such as, for instance, every 3rd Sunday
evening, etc.

Our Program

Twice a year, St. James’ Supper Club invites all members of the
congregation to participate in the supper club program.  The
purpose of this activity is fellowship, i.e., to become acquainted
with one another in the interest of creating a closer church
family.   Over the years, it has proven to be highly successful.

Groups of eight persons are arranged by the Supper Club
Committee from a list of members who have signed up to
participate.   At the end of 4 – 6 months, the groups are
rearranged and a new cycle begins.  Participants are asked to
sign up anew for each cycle they wish to attend.
