Wood Ministry Event: Saturday, August 26

The Wood Ministry is picking up steam as we end the summer and head into fall. This Saturday, please join us for a Split/Stack event at the collection site in Warrenton.  The weather looks really good after the past two weekends, and we have two log splitters on site ready for volunteers.  We’ll plan to meet at 8am and be completed around 10 so you can enjoy the remainder of your day.

We are still supporting over 15 families throughout Fauquier with wood for heating and cooking, so we need your help to stay ‘in stock’ on firewood.  The delivery of this wood is often a first step in discovering other service-level projects, such as property clean-outs and rebuild projects by the Saint James’ Builds team, so this ministry is vital in assisting our brothers and sisters in our community that need help.  Mark your calendars now and plan to join us!

Please contact Colin Borgstrom at 540-270-3285 (cell – call or text) or via email at theborginVA@gmail.com (NOTE NEW EMAIL ADDRESS) to let us know you are coming so we can ensure the right amount of tools are available that morning.

REMINDER:  The collection site is behind Walmart in Warrenton:

Directions to the collection site:

From the Warrenton Walmart, travel past the Walmart and Home Depot, heading to Brumfield Elementary School on Alwington Blvd.

At the stop sign in front of the school, continue straight (bearing to the left, away from the school)
