Acolytes

“You get to give back to your church community.”  –Nicole Arthaud

“It is a wonderful experience where you can make new friends and strengthen your relationship with God.” –Amanda Powell

“It is a unique experience to get closer to God :-)” –Sam Borgstrom

We extend an invitation to any interested parishioners, children (8 years of age and older) and adults, to join the acolyte program here at Saint James’ Warrenton.

An acolyte is someone who assists with the church service by carrying a torch, a cross, or by assisting the priest – it’s a wonderful way to serve God as well as your church community, in the most important rituals of our faith.  And it’s not complicated to learn!

If you are interested in becoming an acolyte, please feel free to contact Laura, or simply stop by the acolyte room on a Sunday morning. The room is right across from the Reception Room and next to the parish hall entrance to the sanctuary.
