Episcopal 101 and Instructed Eucharist

Ahead of the bishop’s visit on Dec. 15, we are planning an “Episcopal 101” series of Sunday-morning classes. This is ideal for those interested in being confirmed or received in the Episcopal Church or reaffirming their baptismal vows — or for anyone simply interested in learning more about our faith tradition.

Classes begin this Sunday, Sept. 22 at 9 a.m. in the Reception Room and continue each week through Nov. 24. Teenagers wishing to be confirmed may choose instead to attend a series of four classes on Sundays before High School Youth Group beginning Sept. 29.

Fittingly, on the first day of the class, we will celebrate an instructed Eucharist this Sunday at 8 and 10:15 a.m. Before each movement of our worship service, Father Ben will explain the intent. Hopefully this will provide an opportunity to deepen your knowledge, appreciation and full participation in our weekly worship.
