There is so much to be hopeful for this coming season. While I am excited about the health of our community and the shift in Covid policies, I am optimistic about the return to in-person Sunday School and I hope to be able to make plans to put in motion soon. While I work out the details, please continue to join us for Sunday School on our Facebook page each week. I’ll share a story and some activities through the google drive. Continuing conversations at home is critical to spiritual growth and I encourage families to use table talk as a guide each week.
Easter will also be a joyous time at Saint James’. Holy week services are being planned and I hope to invite the Easter Bunny and his buddy, the carrot, for the return of our annual Easter Egg hunts after each Easter Service.
Our youth groups continue to gather for fun and formation on Sunday evenings. Big thank you to parents who drive, cook and encourage the kids to attend. It’s a partnership I am most grateful for. Thank you!
The High School youth group is very much looking forward to the return of their annual ski trip to Seven Springs the first part of March. High School youth group will continue to meet into the first part of summer. Middle School youth will meet until the middle of May where we’ll celebrate the year together with our annual trip to Carousel. If you know any graduating 5th graders who would enjoy a preview of youth group, that would be a great time to join us. Please let me know and I’ll be sure to send an invite.
