For the sixth year, a group of local residents is planning a Thanksgiving Day dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for residents of the Jefferson Motel in Warrenton. Volunteers are needed to contribute to the menu, help with setup and serving, and package hot meals for residents of other motels in town.
Among the food donations needed are turkey breasts, green beans, rolls, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing and pumpkin pie.

Each year, Saint James' delivers packages of (unwrapped) gifts to the Department of Social Services for foster children in our community. This tradition is called the Angel Tree Project.
You can sign up here to help buy gifts for these children. The wish lists this year have been divided so they are smaller and more manageable. You can also choose to give money or a gift card to cover the cost of gifts.
Gifts may be dropped off in the Parish Hall by Friday, Dec. 6. If you have any questions, contact Jen Taylor at jennifer.taylor@saintjameswarrenton.org or 703-298-7084.
Saint James’ Episcopal School is working with SAFE (Services for Abused Families) to provide new hats, mittens/gloves, and scarves for women and children (boys and girls of all ages).
Please help us make this holiday season a cozy one for local women and children in need by hanging your donated items on the “mitten tree” in the school lobby or leaving them in the collection bin on the Parish Hall stage by Sunday, Dec. 15.
If you have any questions, contact Jen Taylor at jennifer.taylor@saintjameswarrenton.org or 703-298-7084.
Fauquier Family Shelter Services is seeking donations of Christmas ornaments and other holiday decor for its transitional housing facility in Vint Hill. Contact Sharon Pitta-Michel at jess4madmad@verizon.net if you can help.
Our church and school collected and donated 61 pounds of salt-and-pepper shakers and gravy packets for the Fauquier Food Bank, which used them in over 750 Thanksgiving food boxes this year. Thank you to all who contributed!
