Refugee Ministry: Getting Ready for a Car!

Mohammad is taking an eight hour class this week to help him prepare for his written test to receive a Learner's Permit. Taking this test is a challenge when he is still trying to learn English. He continues to receive ESL tutoring from Sylvie Settle and this week learned to play BINGO! Purchasing a used vehicle for our Afghani family will be an important step in allowing them self-sufficiency. The Refugee Ministry has some donated funds but this assistance will have some limitations given the scarcity and price of Used Cars. Anyone who might have access to a Used Car for donation to this family, please contact the Refugee Ministry Team. This type of assistance would be very meaningful for our family.

Many thanks to Lisa Niemeyer and to Terry Owsley, who have volunteered to be drivers to help Sana go to and from school every Tuesday and Thursday. The public bus route was available but required 2 1/2 hours each way and more than 45 minutes walking through unsafe areas.
