Table Talk Summary Holy Week

This week in Sunday School your children listened to a special Godly Play presentation on Holy Week. While there is a great emphasis on Palm Sunday and Easter at this time of year, Holy Week encompasses all of Jesus’ final days. Maundy Thursday includes the Last Supper and the origins of the communion of bread and wine that we revisit every Sunday. Good Friday provides a time to pause and reflect on the sorrow of Jesus’ sacrifice and death before we enter the joy of Easter.

Please take a moment to talk to your children about what this week means to you as a Christian and a parent, remembering that the journey that started with the birth of a child on Christmas Day is ending this Friday with the loss of that child. We cannot truly enter the joy of Easter without first embracing the sorrow that preceded it.
