Table Talk: Wedding Banquet

Jesus says the kingdom of heaven is like a king giving a wedding banquet for his son. The king invited all his friends to the party. He was disappointed when so many guests declined his invitation, they all had so many excuses. The king sent his servants out into the streets to invite everyone to come. Soon the party was crowded with everyone laughing and dancing. Jesus taught that being part of God’s family is a lot like this banquet.

Just like the king, God welcomes all people into His family, if only we are willing to believe in Him and the gift of salvation.

We can rejoice in this celebration for sure and we can “invite” others to join this big loving family as well.
