Vehicle needed

St. James' new Afghan refugee family has just settled in an apartment in Manassas. The father is taking his exam for a driver's license and will need a vehicle to get to work. He will be applying for jobs as a civil engineer and we are hopeful that he will find something soon to support his wife and four young children. The Social Services Employment Assistance program does not want to begin his search process until he can secure transportation. If you have an old vehicle that you could consider donating, our St. James' Refugee Ministry can send it to a non-profit in Ashburn, Virginia, called "Lazurus Motorworks", for refurbishing.
