The Fauquier Free Clinic is a non-profit health care facility serving patients in Fauquier and Rappahannock Counties. With locations in Warrenton (55 Rock Pointe Lane) and Washington (491-A Main Street), the Free Clinic provides comprehensive medical, dental and mental health care to low income, Medicaid insured and uninsured families. Any child, regardless of a family’s financial circumstances, is treated. Care is provided by a team of over 200 volunteers – practitioners, nurses, dentists and administrators.
Since 1996 (25 years), members of St. James’ Church have been providing dinner on the first Thursday of each month to those who volunteer their services to the Free Clinic. To participate in the program, simply sign up to provide a casserole, salad, rolls, dessert or sodas and drop your dish off at the church kitchen. You may also sign up to be a “hostess,” the person responsible for warming dishes and delivering the completed dinner to the Warrenton clinic.
In addition to the dinner program, parishioners volunteer their time and talents directly to the medical, dental and mental health clinics or volunteer in administrative areas. As little or as much time one can commit is greatly appreciated.
If you are unable to participate in the dinner program or volunteer, you can support the clinic by participating in its annual fundraisers, the Free Clinic Golf Tournament (May), the Rappahannock Rough Ride (September) or making a donation during the online fundraiser, Give Local Piedmont (May) or at any time throughout the year.
