Bishop Ted Gulick, a native of Fauquier County, retired as assistant Bishop of Virginia in 2017. Prior to returning to Virginia in 2010, he was in his seventeenth year as Bishop of Kentucky. After graduating from the Virginia Theological Seminary in 1973, he served as a parish priest in the dioceses of Maryland and Southern Virginia.
He and his wife Barbara were married in 1970 and are the parents of two daughters and a son. Since all three of the Gulick’s children live in Virginia, it is a joy for Ted and Barbara to spend quality time with their six grandchildren.
